The amendment would\nchange the current law by eliminating the current limitation of 45 days for an interim alternative\neducational placement. In addition, the amendment would add a new subsection allowing schools\nto place a child with a disability in an interim alternative educational placement if the child\nintentionally exhibits violent behavior that has resulted or could have resulted in physical injury to\nthe child or others while at school or a school function.
